Lone Wolf Masonry has been building and restoring brick and stone across Central Indiana for more than twenty years. In that time the portfolio has grown one referral at a time: a bluestone patio in Zionsville, a rebuilt chimney in Indianapolis, an outdoor fireplace and paver terrace where a family now spends its evenings. The work below is a selection, not a complete record. It is meant to show the range of what we build and the standard we hold every joint to.
What ties these projects together is not a single style. It is a way of working. The master mason who quotes your project is the same craftsman who lays the first brick and tools the last joint. There are no subcontracted crews and no rotating faces on the job, so the attention to detail you see in a finished wall is the same attention that went into it on day one. Tim Phipps is a third-generation master craftsman, and that lineage shows up in the details most people never think to look at: coursing that runs dead level, head joints struck to a consistent profile, brick and mortar matched so closely that an addition reads as original.
You will see brickwork here, and natural and cut stone, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, retaining and privacy walls, and hardscape from walkways to seat walls to full outdoor living rooms. You will also see restoration, the hardest work in the trade, where the goal is to make the new work disappear into the old. On a 1960 Indianapolis home designed by the midcentury architect Avriel Shull, that meant salvaging the original stone and concrete insets and rebuilding a large buckling retaining wall exactly as it was drawn.

The projects above run the full width of the trade, and that is on purpose. Lone Wolf can build the facade, tuck the chimney, set the patio, and raise the wall that holds the grade, all with one accountable mason instead of three specialists who each blame the other. A few cracked joints today is a repair. Ignored for five winters, it becomes a rebuild. We would rather fix it while it is small, and plenty of our largest projects started as a homeowner calling about a single loose brick.
